This full-year course addresses all the Math 8 content and instruction of the NJ State Learning Standards. The focus of this course is on the prerequisite skills of algebra:

• expanding the knowledge of the number system

• working with irrational and rational numbers;

• exploring the connection between proportional relationships, lines, and linear equations

• solving real-world problems requiring the understanding and application of the Pythagorean Theorem and volume formulas
