HPE Cell Phone Regulations

Personal Electronic Device Usage: Cell Phones/Smart Watches/Headphones etc.

To ensure a focused and respectful learning environment, all personal electronic devices must be silenced between 7:30 AM and 2:25 PM. You can use your phone during passing time, lunch, and study hall. However, during all classes, your phone must be stored in the designated classroom location or in your backpack—it cannot be on your person. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged devices. Using devices to harass, intimidate, or bully others, record people without permission, or transmit inappropriate images is strictly prohibited and will lead to serious disciplinary action. Here are some key points to remember:

• Silence is Golden: All devices must be silenced from 7:30 AM to 2:22 PM.

• Off and Away in Class: Phones must be stored in the classroom's designated location or in your backpack during class time. In PE, students have three options:

  • Left in the locker room in your backpack that is in the locked locker room (this is the least secure option, your items are your responsibility, so please request a master lock and use the PE locker rooms. )

  • Left in a locker by requesting a master lock in the locked locker room

  • Left in the cell phone lockers in the locked locker room

• Responsible Use: You are responsible for keeping your device safe, and using devices to cause harm or record others without permission is strictly prohibited.
