LMS Physical Education

Being Prepared for Class

5th and 6th grade students must come prepared for PE class wearing sneakers and athletic attire and can not wear any jewelry including fitness trackers of any kind. Post earrings are permitted as well as any religious items that can not be removed. Please keep in mind that jewelry can often fall off and get lost outside in the field or in the gym. Clothes must follow school dress code regulations.

Both 5th and 6th grade students will have the option to change into proper gym attire in the locker rooms. It is strongly encouraged that all students come prepared with a change of clothes and deodorant for each class. It will be up to the student whether or not they feel the need to change, but it is best to always be prepared in case the need arises.

After the expected time has lapsed, the physician must write a note of permission for re-entry or resumption of sport activity.

After reviewing the note, the health office will forward it to the physical education teacher for their records and grading.

*No school sport or recess participation if a physical education excuse exists
