Welcome to my class!  I am honored to work with your children this year and am looking forward to working with you. I am a graduate of James Madison University where I graduated with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and a Masters in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Algebra I. From there, I have worked in many schools in many grades, making this my 5th year teaching and my 3rd year in Montgomery.  I am very excited for a great year!

Even though I teach children as my job, I am a child at heart. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, playing video games, watching TV/movies, building Legos, and doing puzzles.  My favorite book series is The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, but I LOVE Greek Mythology. So the Percy Jackson series and books by the author Rick Riordan have a special place in my heart. My other favorites are:

• Video Game: Minecraft

• TV Show: Avatar the Last Airbender

• Movie: Trolls, Scooby-Doo, and Marvel

• Lego set: Architecture

• Puzzles: Maps

In the classroom, my goal is to make math as fun and relevant as possible.  You will be able to explore different topics in a lot of different ways.  Also you will understand why learning math is so important! Either way, everyday will be something new for us!
