Digital Citizenship Overview for Caregivers
Students in grades K-6 at BSE get to participate in Digital Citizenship lessons as part of our library curriculum. We follow the research-based lessons from Common Sense Education. Check out the video below to get a sense of what this is all about! Grades K/1 have only three formal lessons throughout the year, and grades 2-6 have five or six lessons during their year. Occasional family activities are sent home with students, following up on learning that week in the library. Ask your child what being a digital citizen means to them!
Computer Science in the Library
We are actively supporting students to become innovative users and creators of technology. This can look like practicing basic computer skills, solving complex computational thinking challenges (games, puzzles, etc.), or even coding!
