Absences
In case your child is not able to attend two consecutive classes, please notify the Conservatory Office at 403.440.6821 and leave a message for your instructor with the child’s name, time and date of the classes.
Make-up Policy
In the event that you have to miss a class due to illness, it may be possible to make-up that class during the same teaching week if other classes are offered. Please remember, however, that “Conservatory instructors are not obligated to make up lessons which are missed due to student absence” (Conservatory instructor’s handbook).
Dress
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you and your baby to move. Due to allergies and sensitivities, we request that no perfumes be used by adults.

Resources
Mount Royal University has a library with books and musical recordings. It is available to all who are registered at The Conservatory. To receive a library card, bring your registration confirmation to the Circulation Desk in the Library.
Food, Drink and Toys
Please do not bring bottles, drinks or toys into the classroom. Prior to the class, please ensure that your child has had a nutritious snack. If your child becomes hungry or thirsty during class, please feel free to go for a quick snack in the sitting area provided in the hallway. Thanks!
Class Policy
We request one adult per child attending class. If your child becomes upset or disruptive, please leave the classroom for a moment to allow them some time to calm down.
Washroom
Please take your child to the washroom before class begins. Washroom breaks interfere with teaching.
Strollers and Boots
Please leave strollers in the wardrobe outside the classroom. Because we spend time sitting on the floor during class, please take off your shoes before entering the room. All boots, shoes, coats, hats and scarves should be placed in the wardrobe. DO bring all valuables into the classroom. THANK YOU!
Bulletin Board
Please read notices, articles, and general information posted in the Early Childhood Suite.
Latecomers
Arriving late for a class disrupts the children, teacher and the continuity of the class. Please make every effort to be on time.
