Tour Information!
Campus tours are a great way to explore MRU, find your classrooms, and get familiar with campus before classes begin—without the stress of finding your way around on your own.
All information about your tour date, time, and other details has been emailed to you.
Before Your Tour:
☐ Make a copy of the My Campus Tour Guide and complete any sections you can before your tour. It will help you stay engaged, take notes, and make the most of your visit.
☐ Complete this short 3-question survey. It will help us understand where you’re at before you arrive on campus.
Tour Check-In
Location: West Gate Entrance
Arrival: Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your tour begins.

✅ONECard
If you are interested in picking up your ONECard, please complete the ONECard request form a minimum of 3 business days in advance. Once you receive the “Ready for Pick Up” email, you will be able to pick up your ONECard Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30 p.m. You do not need your ONECard for your first week of classes so consider picking it up once classes have started. Should you have any concerns regarding ONECard please email onecard@mtroyal.ca
🚶Getting to Campus
If You're Driving...
The closest parking lot to the Campus Tours check-in location is Lot 2 on the west side of campus. You can access this parking lot off of Richardson Way SW and Mount Royal Circle SW.
Step 1 - Park in Lot 2. Note: Pulling through or backing into stalls is prohibited.
Step 2 - Complimentary Parking. Scan the QR code located just inside the West Gate Entrance at the Campus Tour booth. Complimentary parking is available for your campus tour date. Please have your vehicle’s license plate number ready when completing the parking registration.
Note: Paid parking will not be reimbursed.
Step 3 - Enter through the West Gate Entrance of the Main Building. Check-in booth is located inside of the West Gate Entrance.
Step 4 - Check-In for your Tour. Check-in for your tour at the Campus Tour Booth no earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled tour begins.
If You're Transiting...
Taking Calgary transit is an easy and affordable way to commute to campus. There are several busses that stop right on campus, making it easy to commute from anywhere in the city. Some of these routes stop right outside of West Gate Entrance.
Transit fares are not covered by MRU
The main routes that serve MRU are:
MAX Yellow (Downtown, Rockyview Hospital, Southland)
MAX Teal (Westbrook Station, Heritage Station)
Route 9 (Dalhousie Station, Chinook Station)
Route 13 (Altadore, North Glenmore)
Route 20 (Northwest Calgary, Foothills Hospital, Heritage Station)
Use Google Maps or the Calgary Transit Trip Planner to plan your trip. Be sure to check your bus times and give yourself a little extra time to check-in for your tour at the Campus Tour Booth no earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled tour begins.
