Hey WAMS! 👋
Summer might be in the rearview and homework is officially back (sorry, math lovers), but we’ve got something way more exciting to talk about — all the amazing things happening right here at school! From student leaders ready to make big moves to athletes crushing it on the field, this is your inside scoop on what’s buzzing at WAMS. 🐝
Big news — our brand-new Executive Board (Eboard) is officially in action! These student council all-stars are the main connection between students and administrators like Mrs. Caravano and Mr. Kent, making sure your ideas actually get heard.
Many of them were inspired to run because they wanted to make WAMS an even better place, and they’re already hitting the ground running. Their top priority right now? 🩳 You guessed it — gym uniforms! The Eboard is brainstorming changes to make gym wear more comfortable and student-approved.
Between leadership, communication, and teamwork, this crew is shaping up to be one seriously powerful group of student voices. Let’s hear it for the new Eboard! 👏
WAMS News October 17, 2025 Broadcast
Now this is what we call a home run! ⚾ On September 14th, Miss Knight’s Honors Choir had the incredible opportunity to sing the National Anthem at a Phillies game in front of 20,000–25,000 fans! 🇺🇸
Students described the moment as exciting, terrifying, and absolutely unforgettable. Performing for that many people is no small feat — and our WAMS singers nailed it.
This was a huge honor for our school, showing off not only our musical talent but our school pride on a massive stage. Way to represent, WAMS Choir! 💙❤️🎶
Get your game faces (and costumes) ready — the Halloween Dance Competition is coming! 🕸️👻
This year’s dance isn’t just about candy and cool music — it’s a grade-level battle between the 7th and 8th graders. There will be four games, each worth one point. The grade with higher attendance scores an extra point, and the overall winners will snag three huge Spirit Week points toward the Pep Rally competition.
And trust us — those points matter. Last year’s Spirit Week ended in a nail-biting 39 to 40 finish. 😱
So whether you’re showing off your costume or your dance moves, make sure you show up next Friday and help your grade dominate! 🕺💃
It’s officially fall sports season, and our WAMS athletes are fired up and ready to go! 🔥
Coaches and players are focused on teamwork, growth, and having fun this season — because success isn’t just about wins, it’s about improving, building confidence, and staying tough.
Soccer coaches emphasized that it’s a big team sport, and the eighth-grade squad has already built a strong bond of friendship and respect. Over on the field hockey side, Katie has been a total rockstar in goal, saving shots left and right while keeping team spirits high. 🥅💪
Coach Gray said she’s “super excited” to roll into the new season with such a talented and motivated eighth-grade crew.
Whether it’s scoring goals, making defensive stops, or simply improving game by game, our WAMS athletes are showing what hard work and heart really look like. 💛💙
From powerful student leadership to big-time performances and athletic determination, WAMS is kicking off this school year in style.
Keep cheering on your classmates, stay involved, and — most importantly — keep showing that Warrior pride everywhere you go!
Until next time, stay awesome, WAMS! 🌟
From AI debates to dance floor showdowns, here’s how WAMS closed out an unforgettable school year.
Hey WAMS family!
As the final bell rings and we say goodbye to another fantastic school year, we’re taking a moment to look back at the epic end-of-year broadcasts that had us thinking, laughing, and dancing our way into summer break.
The June 6th episode, hosted by the awesome trio Talia, Bree, and Bella, tackled one of the hottest topics in school (and the world): Artificial Intelligence in education.
WAMS students and teachers shared their takes on how AI is changing the classroom:
✅ Pros? It saves time, offers 24/7 homework help, and gives students creative new tools.
⚠️ Concerns? Some worry it might encourage cheating or make us too dependent on it.
It turns out a whopping 71% of students have used AI (with ChatGPT, Snapchat AI, and Goth AI leading the charge). But most students said they use it for helping, not cheating — like checking answers, finding project ideas, or getting a little extra study support.
The bottom line? AI isn’t going anywhere, so the challenge now is learning how to use it wisely and responsibly.
Also in that episode:
🎭 A “Nonsense Joke Challenge” that had everyone scratching their heads (and laughing)
🎮 A “Clash Royale Favorites” segment where students shared their top sound effects and cards
And just like that… it was time to roll the credits on another amazing year. Hosted by Ava and Kira, the final WAMS News broadcast of the school year was packed with fun, summer vibes, and a few final challenges to send us off in style.
Students shared what they're most excited about for next year:
🏈 More sports
🎨 New electives
🧑🏫 Meeting new teachers
🧪 Trying out different clubs and activities
WAMS is already buzzing with anticipation for Fall 2025!
In the great frozen treat showdown, ice cream absolutely dominated. And yes, “mint chimp” earned itself some serious fan love!
No WAMS News broadcast would be complete without a few hilarious segments, and this finale did not disappoint:
🎨 Blind Drawing Challenge
Students attempted masterpieces… while blindfolded. Some looked like spaghetti. Others? Even spaghetti was a stretch.
🎤 Pop Culture Challenge
Can you guess the celeb from three clues? Some nailed it. Others were... just a little off.
💃 Dance Circle Showdown
When asked what dance they'd do in the center of a circle, students pulled out all the stops:
The “Drew Ski Dance”
Fortnite classics
“The Worm”
A classic dab
And the now-iconic “She Got Hips” move
As the school year comes to a close, we’re giving a huge shoutout to the entire WAMS News team for keeping us informed, entertained, and connected all year long.
From silly segments to serious stories, this year’s broadcasts reflected the heart of WAMS: smart, curious, creative students who know how to have fun.
Have an amazing, relaxing, sun-soaked summer, We’ll see you back in the fall for more stories, more laughs, and more awesome moments. 💙💛
Stay safe. Stay cool. And don’t forget the sunscreen!

✈️ From Flying Paper Planes to Saving the Planet: WAMS News Brings the Heat!
Highlights from the 5/30/25 Broadcast
Hey WAMS fam!
This week’s broadcast was a total rollercoaster — packed with science, sustainability, and a few mystery box shenanigans. Whether you’re into flying objects, saving the world, or just watching your classmates guess bananas in a box, we’ve got you covered. Let’s break it down!
Things took off (literally) with Mr. Heine's paper plane lab showdown in the auditorium. Students crafted their own paper gliders or followed online blueprints in a battle for distance, design — and extra credit! Yup, if your plane smacked Mr. Heine, you scored bonus points! 💥
But this wasn’t just for fun — it was a real-time lesson in aerodynamics and physics, covering the four forces of flight:
💪 Applied force (your awesome throw)
🌍 Gravity (thanks, Earth)
💨 Air friction/drag
🕊️ Lift
It was hands-on learning with a twist — and maybe a few bruises for Mr. Heine!
Next up, things got serious — and inspiring. Student reporter Haley Baron brought some much-needed attention to a global issue: climate change.
She broke it down like a pro:
🌡️ Climate change = rising global temps
🏭 71% of the damage? Caused by large-scale factories
👤 But YOU still have power to make change!
Her top tips for helping the planet?
✅ Use less, recycle more
💸 Watch where your money goes
🥩 Eat less meat (one burger = 100 gallons of water + 48 trees!)
🌍 Support orgs like her nonprofit, Peace Revolution, working to reverse the damage
“We only have five years left to make a difference. Let’s make it count.” – Haley
Powerful stuff, right?
To end the broadcast on a lighter note, Zahed, Gavin, and Aiden brought the chaos and comedy with a fan-favorite: “Guess What’s in the Box!”
Blindfolded students had to reach in and identify mystery objects.
Highlights included:
🍌 A banana? Probably.
🤢 Something described as “curdled milk with banana peels”? Ew.
😲 Pure confusion? Absolutely.
It was gross, it was weird, it was hilarious — just how we like it.
From flying experiments and eco-awareness to awkward guessing games, this episode of WAMS News had it all. Big shoutout to all the students and teachers who made it awesome!
Catch you next week for even more stories, spotlights, and surprises from the WAMS halls. 💫
Until then — stay curious, stay kind, and stay tuned!
🎤 WAMS Gets Real: ASMR, Chipotle Cravings, Summer Love Debates & Energy Drink Buzz
Hey WAMS fam!
Before we all head off to enjoy that well-deserved Memorial Day weekend, your favorite anchors Annabelle and Kenzie dropped an epic WAMS News broadcast filled with laughter, cravings, friendly debates, and some serious trend-spotting. Let’s dive into all the good stuff they served up this week!
First up — the news team tackled a trend that’s been “tingling” its way through WAMS: ASMR.
Some students had no clue what those four letters stood for (shout out to Nick and Mason for their hilarious guesses like “annoying mini sounds r” and “asymmetrical made ride or wrote”), but once everyone got the hang of it, the whispers started flowing. From mic-tapping to soft-spoken serenades, WAMS students gave ASMR a try — and even Annabelle was shocked by how oddly soothing it was.
🎧 “Didn’t expect to enjoy someone whispering into a mic that much.” — Annabelle
Hungry yet? Same. The next segment had everyone’s stomachs growling as the WAMS crew talked favorite Chipotle orders.
Here’s a taste of what the WAMS crowd is eating:
Kenzie keeps it classic with a chicken bowl (no beans, extra guac = always a power move).
Dylan? A no-fuss chicken & rice combo.
Bella (the student)? All in with brown rice, extra steak, black beans, cheese, queso, and even a mini burrito on the side.
Kassem and Chase brought the flavor with extra protein and toppings galore.
Annabelle summed it up best:
🌯 “WAMS has good taste!”
Then came the debate of the season. If you’ve been binging The Summer I Turned Pretty, you already know: it’s Jeremiah vs. Conrad.
Kenzie? “Team Jeremiah all day, no question.”
Some students made passionate cases for both sides, while others (cough Kirsten Peze cough) kept it real:
“Jeremiah’s hotter... but I’m still Team Conrad.”
The final verdict? Too close to call! This debate is definitely not over.
To wrap it up, WAMS News explored the buzz around Alani energy drinks – those colorful cans popping up everywhere.
Here’s what you need to know:
Created in 2018 by fitness influencer Katie Hearn.
Valued at $1.8 billion — yep, billion with a "B."
Each can has 200mg of caffeine (!!!) – enough to power through a Monday.
Flavors are 🔥, but too much = jitters, racing heart, or feeling off.
So, is it worth the hype?
WAMS students say: YES!
“I love Alani!” echoed through the halls.
Another fun-filled, fact-packed, flavor-blasted WAMS News broadcast is in the books! Big thanks to Annabelle, Kenzie, and all the student reporters who made this episode a must-watch.
Enjoy the long weekend, stay safe, and don’t forget to come back next week for even more from WAMS News — your source for all things trending, tasty, and totally WAMS!
Hey WAMS community!
This past week has been nothing short of legendary at Williams Middle School – from spine-tingling solos at the Spring Concert to secret talents hiding in plain sight, WAMS News captured it all and then some. Let’s break it down!
The annual WAMS Spring Concert hit all the right notes (literally)! Our talented band, orchestra, and chorus students gave unforgettable performances that had the crowd clapping, cheering, and even humming along.
🎻 Emmy from orchestra described how awesome it felt performing on the big stage, with acoustics that made everything sound magical.
🎶 The chorus, led by the always-inspiring Miss Knight, created a real sense of community and heart. Just ask Reet, who already knows how much she’ll miss it next year.
🥁 The band — featuring stars like Luke and Caleb — delivered the energy and the emotion about all the good memories from the year.
On May 16, 2025, our favorite anchors Sophia and Myra brought us another standout WAMS News broadcast, and it was packed with the good stuff.
First, the team revisited concert highlights — because even if you missed it, you needed to see some of that magic. Then, reporters Jeff, Nick, and Daniel took to the halls on a mission:
👉 Find WAMS’s hidden talents.
And boy, did they find them.
🚴♂️ Moon bicycle kicks (we didn’t know what that was either… but it’s awesome)
🦵 Students who can bend their legs way farther back than you'd think humanly possible
🏃 Lightning-fast cardio skills
🔥 Finger snapping flair
💃 And yes… the occasional dab
Bonus reveal? Anchor Sophia can roller skate like a pro. Who knew?
To wrap things up, Joe, Oliver, and Aiden hit the halls again to celebrate National Classic Movie Day.
The question: What’s your favorite classic film?
The results were a total throwback treasure trove:
🎥 Catch Me If You Can
🏺 Indiana Jones
⏰ Back to the Future
Basically, a masterclass in cinematic taste.
That’s a wrap for this week, WAMS! Between musical greatness, surprise talents, and vintage film faves, we’ve seen just how awesome this school really is. Can’t wait to see what the next WAMS News broadcast has in store!
🎬 Until next time, stay legendary, WAMsters!
Hey WAMS community! 👋
We’re back with the latest scoop from WAMS News, and this episode had it all — sports highlights, soda obsessions, photo drama, and a trivia showdown between students and teachers. Let’s dive in!
Spring sports season is winding down, and WAMS athletes (and coaches!) had a lot to say about the journey. From baseball and track to lacrosse and softball, it wasn’t just about the scoreboard — it was about growth, teamwork, and having fun.
🧢 Baseball made the playoffs, with Nolan Carter hyped about Chance’s walk-off moment!
🏃♀️ Track star Cailin Ruff hit a personal record in both the high jump and 400-meter dash.
🥍 Molly Flinn loved the teamwork and effort in lacrosse.
🥎 Annabelle was proud of her fielding and hitting skills, and Amber smashed two home runs!
Coaches like Mr. Haas and Mrs. Lock reminded us: it’s not just about wins, it’s about how you play the game — and these WAMS Warriors played with heart.
The hallway photo display brought out some strong feelings.
Let’s just say… not everyone was thrilled about their action shots.
😳 Some students called their pics “embarrassing” and asked, “Who approved this?!”
😅 Others questioned whether their consent was even involved (don’t worry — it was).
💅 But a few confident kings and queens were all about the glow-up, saying things like “I look tan!” and “This is the best I’ve ever looked.”
We’ll call it: a true spectrum of emotions.
🥤 Baja Blast Mania: It’s More Than Just a Drink
Did you know Baja Blast was originally a Taco Bell exclusive? WAMS News brought the tropical trivia, sharing how this limey, refreshing Mountain Dew flavor has been fueling fandom since 2004.
Students like Olivia, Eli, Kira, and Emerson admitted to being borderline obsessed — and we don’t blame them.
🚨 Breaking news: In 2025, Taco Bell is launching a new version — Baja Midnight, a passion fruit + lime fusion that’s already got students (looking at you, Midnight Jizzy Triple C 😆) planning their next Taco Bell run.
The age-old question was finally put to the test — and the results?
Well… mixed.
🧪 Mrs. Tyszka couldn’t name all the subatomic particles.
🌱 Mr. Wilson blanked on the plant vs. animal cell difference.
📐 Mrs. Pasi… gave the wrong trapezoid area formula.
Meanwhile, students Liam and Meredith held it down like pros, leaving everyone wondering if it’s time to flip the classroom for real.
That’s a wrap for this week’s WAMS News recap! From playoff heroes to Baja fanatics and brainy battles, this school keeps it fun, smart, and just the right amount of ridiculous.
🎤 Catch you next time, WAMsters!
Hello, WAMsters! The May 2, 2025 edition of WAMS News delivered a fun-filled mix of competition, creativity, and classroom excellence—just in time to keep the spring energy going strong!
Forget March Madness—WAMS brought the drama right before spring break with the grand finale of the Spoon Game! After weeks of stealthy strategy and suspense, Mr. Smith was officially crowned champion. Described as a cross between tag and Survivor, this intense school-wide game saw teachers trying to tag each other out—while hanging onto their spoons for dear life.
Mr. Smith credits his victory to five seasons of Survivor binge-watching, a dedicated hallway "security squad" featuring Charlie Butts and Ezra McFalls, and clever alliances with fellow staff. He narrowly dodged sabotage from power players like Mrs. Trapani, Mrs. Musnug, and Mrs. Pasi, who nearly gave him “heart attacks” with their sneak attacks. Despite the nerves, Mr. Smith called the experience “a great time” and “definitely worth it.”
WAMS News reporters took to the halls to ask students the age-old question: Which grade is better—seventh or eighth? The answers were as varied as the hall passes. Some praised 7th for being a fresh start, while others backed 8th for the perks, like sports teams and memorable classes.
As for favorite teachers? A few names kept coming up—Mrs. Trapani, Mr. Wilson, Mr. Phillips, Mr. App, Mrs. O’Brien, and even Mr. Heine, as declared by one of the anchors themselves!
Latin students at WAMS have something to celebrate! Meera delivered an update on the National Latin Exam, which took place earlier this year. While the exam stress is long gone, May is the month when results roll in. Certificates and medals are awarded, giving students the ultimate ancient bragging rights. Time to brush up on those Roman numerals!
The “Who Knows Who Better?” segment brought laughs and surprises as student duos—like Verona & Juliet and Jamie & Meiya—put their friendships to the test. From birthdays to dream vacations, TikTok dances to favorite snacks, these pairs showed off just how well (or not) they know each other. Spoiler: Not everyone got the birthday question right!
Lucas and Gavin wrapped up the broadcast with a sign-off and a promise: more exciting school news coming soon. With just a few weeks left in the school year, WAMS News is keeping things fun, fresh, and full of Warrior pride.
Stay tuned for more blog updates and WAMS News! 🎬📚

Fun fact: planes can land themselves! Students like CJ and staff like Mrs. Barton shared how eye-opening the day was, especially learning that not all jobs require a college degree.
📚 The excitement didn’t stop there—WAMS hosted (and won!) the Burlington County Battle of the Books! Fourteen teams competed by answering questions on 15 different titles. Mrs. Vogolei and students like Julia Kwon talked about the nerve-wracking but rewarding experience—and of course, those shiny medals made the reading marathon totally worth it!

Another student praising Michael B. Jordan in Creed
🎥 Fun Fact: Walt Disney holds the record for the most Oscars—26 in total!
And don’t miss the laugh-out-loud game: "Guess What’s in the Hand", where blindfolded students tried to ID objects like a football, whiteboard, and even Jason’s water bottle. One pencil sharpener left a few folks stumped!
Just before spring break, Max Soto and Carter stepped up as new anchors. First up: a well-deserved shout-out to Mr. Kent for Vice Principal Appreciation Week!

March Magic at WAMS: Spirit, Arts, and Cultural Connection
March was a month to remember at WAMS, full of excitement, creativity, and community spirit. From the high-energy events of Spirit Week to artistic achievements and cultural celebrations, students and staff made the most of every moment.
The final stretch of March was dominated by Spirit Week, and this year’s theme—Movies—brought out the creativity in everyone. Each day had a unique theme:
🎩 St. Patrick’s Day Monday
🌴 Tropical Tuesday
🎬 Dress as Your Favorite Movie Character Wednesday
📼 Throwback Thursday
🏆 Grade Color Friday (Seventh grade in gold, eighth grade in black)
The energy built all week and came to a head at the annual pep rally—a highly anticipated showdown between grades. In a dramatic finish, seventh grade clinched the victory by just one point over the eighth graders.
Staff shared their thoughts on the week’s success.
Miss McGrevy called it “one of the best spirit weeks and one of the best pep rallies” he’s experienced, citing unmatched enthusiasm.
Mr Haas declared the results “historic” and credited the seventh grade’s nine-point lead in door decorating as a decisive factor—though that very lead sparked some buzz and potential controversy among students.
New to the pep rally this year was a volleyball game, suggested by the student council executive board, and it was a hit. Other fan-favorite competitions included:
🎶 Musical Chairs
🏃♂️ Three-Legged Race
🏀 Knockout
💪 Tug-of-War
🛒 Wheelbarrow Race
In the days leading up to the rally, friendly speculation filled the halls as students made predictions, shared excitement, and even cast votes for which teachers they'd like to see compete.
March also shined a light on the thriving arts scene at WAMS.

📚 Earlier in the month, Mrs. Gore's students participated in Read Across America Day at Baker Elementary. They proudly shared books they wrote and illustrated with younger students, a heartwarming project that fostered creativity and mentorship.
🎉 In language and culture, Miss McGovern’s French students hosted a vibrant Mardi Gras celebration in the media center. Complete with traditional French foods and parent involvement, the event brought authentic flavor and fun to the classroom.
In keeping with WAMS' commitment to inclusivity and learning, a March broadcast highlighted Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, reflection, and gratitude. The segment explained the holiday's significance and recognized students and staff observing it. Viewers were encouraged to offer a warm greeting of “Ramadan Mubarak” to show support and respect.
From movie costumes and spirited games to theatrical performances and meaningful cultural exchanges, March at WAMS was full of moments that celebrated creativity, unity, and student voice. As spring continues, we look forward to seeing how students carry this energy and enthusiasm into the rest of the school year.

From basketball to wrestling, our coaches shared both the highlights and challenges of this winter season:
Basketball coaches mentioned the difficulty of managing large team sizes, especially when trying to ensure everyone gets playing time.
The wrestling coach spoke about the space crunch, with a small wrestling room and a bigger-than-usual team.
Despite these challenges, the message from all coaches was clear: this season is about growth, commitment, and fun.
WAMS coaches emphasized that success isn't just about the scoreboard. It's about:
🏋️♂️ Skill development and seeing students improve
🤼 Trying new things and embracing the learning curve

The wrestling coach shared excitement about welcoming new athletes to the mat, while the basketball coaches focused on helping their players have fun and build confidence—with hopes they’ll continue the sport in high school.

December is always a magical time at William Allen Middle School, and the 2024 WAMS News broadcasts gave us a front-row seat to the warmth, generosity, and joy that define this special season. From long-standing traditions to thoughtful acts of kindness, here’s how the WAMS community came together to celebrate.
One of the most beloved December traditions is the annual Holidays Tea, a WAMS classic that has brought joy to the Morristown community for over 15 years. This elegant event is hosted for local senior citizens and retired teachers, offering not just delicious snacks but also top-tier entertainment from our talented students.
🎻 String Ensemble
🎷 Jazz Band
🎶 Chorus singers
All helped create a festive and musical atmosphere that warmed hearts. As Miss Lee noted, it’s not just about the treats or the tunes—it’s about reconnecting with familiar faces and showing appreciation to those who’ve shaped the community.
WAMS students also showed their generous spirit with the annual food drive, an effort that transforms holiday cheer into real support for local families. Highlighted in the December 6th broadcast, this year’s drive was a major success.
Homerooms collected specific food items
Donations were packed and distributed to families in need
Extra items were sent to the local food bank
Led by Miss Sakoff, Miss Grant, and Mrs. Arno, this initiative combined healthy competition with heart, reminding us that the true spirit of the season is in giving.
Adding a creative and educational twist to the festivities, WAMS celebrated its annual Saturnalia Lunch, hosted by Mrs. Edwardson. This unique event honors the ancient Roman festival of Saturnalia, where gift-giving, feasting, and joy were the order of the day.
Students were treated to:
🍢 Chicken kebabs
🍇 Grapes & olives
🫓 Pita chips
🍯 Honey water
It was a flavorful way to connect with history—and enjoy a classroom feast that felt both ancient and festive!
While technically an end-of-year tradition, the Best Staff Award got some early buzz in the December 13th broadcast. Students vote for the teacher or staff member who’s gone above and beyond—and the competition is as fun as it is heartfelt.
📣 Mrs. Fishman has a winning streak
🤞 Mr. Phillips and Mrs. Gore are looking to take the crown
This light-hearted tradition reflects the strong relationships between staff and students, adding a sense of fun and recognition to the school culture.
To round out the month, the WAMS News team delivered segments that were as cheerful as they were creative:
🎅 Holiday greetings from students & staff
🍬 Favorite treats and holiday movies
🎶 Christmas song trivia that tested everyone's knowledge
These moments helped spread joy across the school and highlighted the unique voices and personalities that make WAMS such a vibrant community.
From timeless traditions to heartfelt giving, December at WAMS is more than just a festive month—it's a reflection of what makes this school community so special. Whether through music, food, generosity, or laughter, students and staff come together to celebrate what matters most: connection, kindness, and community.
Here's to carrying that spirit into the new year! 💙💛
