December 6th is PJ DAY!
This year's goal is $4,000
We are excited to announce that South Valley is participating in Pajama Day to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)! On December 6th, we invite all students to wear their favorite school-appropriate pajamas and bring in an optional donation to help raise money for the children and families cared for at CHOP. We will be accepting donations on our school’s online Pajama Day fundraising page which you can access here! If you would like to make a donation by check, please make it payable to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation and put “South Valley – Pajama Day” on the memo line.
Giving back and creating a sense of community are important to us here at South Valley. By supporting Pajama Day, you are helping to support kids who rely on Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for care, cures, and hope. CHOP is a charitable organization that has been serving families and making advancements in pediatrics since 1855.
We thank you for helping us make this effort a success by saying YAY to Pajama Day! Every dollar makes a difference in the life of a child. If you have any questions, please reach out to schoolfundraising@chop.edu.

December 2nd - 6th ~ Inclusive Schools Week
Monday- KINDNESS- Green
Kindness is being selfless, caring, and compassionate. When we offer these acts to others, we make people feel good, pass along hope, and promote peace. Small acts of kindness make a big difference.
Tuesday- NEURODIVERSITY- Red
Neurodiversity is a word used to explain the different and unique ways some people behave, think, or learn.
Wednesday- ACCEPTANCE- Yellow
Acceptance celebrates the attributes we share and celebrates our differences.
Thursday-INCLUSION- Blue
Inclusion is involvement and empowerment where all people's inherent worth and dignity are recognized and valued.
Friday- BELONGING- Rainbow Pajama Day!
Belonging means that you feel accepted, included, or a part of something else.

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL REMINDERS:
If you drop your student off after morning arrival (no staff members are present), please don’t drop them and let them walk to the building by themselves. Drive around to the bus loop and buzz them into the main office. Arrival ends at 8:35. Students should be in their classrooms by 8:40.
Walkers should be picked up by 3:35. Anything after 3:35, you will need to pick them up in the main office.

Li Liu ~ Chinese Acrobat visits SV
Li Liu was born in Beijing, China. At the age of six, she began learning acrobatics with her father. For many years Li traveled and word with circuses throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. She is a regular performer on Princess Cruise Lines, and for NBA halftime shows. The students and staff at South Valley were in awe of her abilities.
