Thank you and congragulations to all of the students this year for all of their hard work!
High school coding club members create various lessons and activities to present to middle school students who are interested in coding. Middle school students will work on projects and have a chance to win prizes. The goal is to allow students to have fun while simultaneously learning more about coding.
The Coding Club and sponsor, Mrs. Nicole Glover, would like to thank Dr. Thompson and Mr. Andrew Turton for their support.
Special thanks to Mrs. Kathryn Duchin, Mr. Max Morgans, Mr. Kartik Mohanran, and Mr. Matt Atwood for their help bringing our high school and middle school coders together.
And thank you to Mrs. Nicole Glover for being an amazing sponsor.
Lastly, thank you to Mr. Bowker and Mr. Smiley for help with technology and trouble shooting.
We hosted our first hackathon in Spring of 2023 and every spring since. In 2023, we had 26 middle schoolers sign up and we presented topics on Edison Robots and a text game programming.
In 2024, we presented projects on Arduinos and webpage design to over 30 students. Our sign up numbers keep growing and we hope to continue hosting hackathons every year!
Our hackathons are 100% student led and organized. Everything from lessons to logistics were planned by our high school coding club members.
