View Youtube videos from Erinn Andrews, former Stanford Admissions Officer, who considers a couple of case studies from an admissions officer's point of view. Please note that Stanford has around a 3% admissions rate (among stellar students who would be confident enough to apply). Watching these videos and following tips does not offer a real advantage; however, understanding these cases, even if they are a bit outdated, may be useful to your college planning in general. My advice is to challenge yourself, plan for best individual growth and learning, and be authentic. However, there is quite a bit of strategy involved in successfully applying to top-tier schools.

I’m trying to accept that the school I’m going to is where I am meant to be, but I feel like my accomplishments mean nothing now.

Are you an artist?
A composer?
A writer?
A dancer?
A photographer?
A movie-maker?
Then the 2023-2024 Reflections Competition is for YOU!
National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Check out this list to see if you are up for the considerable challenge. Even if you don't get through every book by the end of your senior year, this might be fun to tackle. If you complete the challenge, you get a certificate and a T-shirt!
