The state of Pennsylvania requires adminstration of the Keystone Exams to assess proficiency in Literature, Algebra I, and Biology. School districts decide the best time to administer each exam for their students. The Literature exam consists of two modules, fiction and nonfiction, adminstered over the course of two days. Both modules contain a series of reading passsages with corresponding mutliple choice questions and short answer questions called constructed resposne questions. Mt. Lebanon administers the Literatrue Keystone in May of the sophomore year.
