A challenge I am facing outside of academics right now is figuring out my plans for my summer; specifically, I am working out the details of my independent project and getting Lynk funding for it.
What I currently have is: a rough plan for a video game, a committed artist working on the visuals side of the game alongside me this summer, and some agreed-upon parameters (planned length of game/playtime, style, method and frequency of communication, and checkpoints throughout the summer to pace us).
I have a defined procedure for: working through the Lynk funding requirements. I need to complete the modules and activities outlined on the site.
I have less of a defined procedure for: finding a professor willing to supervise the project and remotely check in on it over the summer. I am bad at/anxious about cold emailing and networking, and I may have to start doing so in order to find someone.
What I need is: a more solid plan and writeup of the game's plot (possibly work with artist on starting a storyboard?), to start practicing with Godot software, and to secure a project supervisor.Â
