The Nexus program supports faculty course development that links curriculum with career.
All faculty are invited to apply for a Nexus Curriculum Development Grant:
to create a new course
to revise an existing course
to link two or more courses
to collaborate with an Embedded Practitioners in a course
The deadline is yearly in early May. See guidelines.

Checklist for reviewing grant proposals:
Does the course contribute to Nexus track offerings?
Are specific learning goals for the course provided?
Is there a career intention for the course? Is there a set of career opportunities, and by extension, internship, research, or work opportunities associated with course material provided?
Is there a plan to communicate the career dimension of the course to students?
Does the proposal describe the extra “lift” or time required to make or maintain the course as a Nexus course?
Is there evidence of demand for the course?
Will the course be offered next year?
Is the course sustainable? Will it be taught on an ongoing basis?
If several faculty members are involved, are they willing and able to teach this course on a rotating basis?
For embedded practitioners, is there a clear and reasonable budget?
For embedded practitioners, was the Dean of Faculty’s office consulted about a possible embedded practitioner?
Did the track chair endorse or support the proposal?
Did the faculty member consider the track chairs feedback in creating the proposal?
Has the faculty member received Nexus funding before? If so, when?
