Literacy Innovation Center at Ted's House

In Partnership with the Springfield Museums

CAPSlab is currently located in Ted's House - Dr. Seuss's childhood home - in the Forest Park neighborhood of Springfield, Massachusetts. We've moved the lab here to conduct research investigating how metric processing supports reading acquisition. We are currently recruiting children ages 6-10 to participate in one of our studies:

STUDY ONE: This is a NIH-funded project for typically-developing children with no known reading difficulties. Participants will be asked to make two 2-hour visits to Ted's House, for a total of four hours, and will be compensated $50 for their time. To enroll your child in this study, please email capslabmhc@gmail.com or call/text 413-349-8299

STUDY TWO: This is a study of children with reading difficulties (incl. dyslexia, specific learning disabilities in basic reading skill or reading fluency). Participants will be asked to make one 3-hour visit to Ted's House, and will be compensated $50 for their time. To enroll your child in this study, please email readingstudy.mhc@gmail.com or call/text 413-240-4134
