Here are some cool things our students and alumnae are doing!
-- Andy Fernandez-Dieguez '19, who was in Advanced Projects and shot their senior thesis for Film Studies, is now the first Fellow in a new production executive mentoring program run by Elliot Page's production company (Page Boy).
-- From Lauren Leese '23: I was selected for a Fall 2023 communications and outreach internship at NASA, where I'll be creating a website to educate the public about AI and machine learning efforts at NASA and writing some articles about current research. I assumed for a while that NASA only had engineering and science-type positions available, but that's 100% not the case, and there are loads of jobs for people in non-STEM majors! (Admittedly, I was also a double major in astronomy, which helped me gain the understanding of general scientific principles that this particular internship called for. But a lot of the comms positions I looked into were more solidly PR-type roles that needed no scientific background.)
-- Embry O'Leary '23 has art included in several publications! These are the Spring 2023 editions of Beyond Queer Words (A Collection of Poems) and Laurel Moon, both of which put Embry's art beside some wonderful work from a multitude of writers, poets, and other artists. Those editions can be found at these links:
