The department of Chemistry is delighted to announce that an application form to apply to join a research lab run by Chemistry faculty is now open -- the deadline to apply for Spring 2023 research is November 7th, 2022! Please apply!
Are you a Mount Holyoke undergraduate who keeps hearing about "research" as something that some STEM majors do? Want to learn more about what that entails and how to get involved? We've compiled some resources to help!
Books about race and anti-Racism are available in the Science Center for all students, faculty and staff to pick up, borrow, explore their curiosity and learn.
We've compiled information about the types of jobs that are available to get involved in the department. Please take a look to see if there's a position that might be a good fit for you. If so, you can apply (often in April for the next school year or in November/December for Spring) on JobX.
For those who are interested in summer research, please take a look at the Summer Research Opportunities for 2021 database. This database is a collection of the different emails that members of the chemistry/biochemistry faculty have received regarding summer research opportunities at other institutions, and it will be updated on a regular basis. In addition, it includes a link to the National Science Foundation's database for Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs), which is another good starting point for finding a research opportunity. Take a look, as some of the deadlines are coming up sooner than you might think!
For those who may be interested in using your LYNK funding to participate in an unpaid or low paying internship, or who wish to conduct research on Mount Holyoke's campus, please also take a look at the Lynk UAF page. The deadline for starting the LYNK application process is February 19.
