Foundation Stage Foundation Stage have been getting excited for Christmas. They have wrote their letters to Father Christmas and are looking forward to posting these next week.
Key Stage One This week, KS1 have been busy making the finishing touches to our Nativity. We can't wait to share it with you next week! In English, we've been starting our independent writing and we are so proud of our handwriting. In maths, we have been learning about addition and subtraction - there's been lots of determination on show in our classrooms! We are enjoying our RE learning all about Christianity, which links wonderfully to our Nativity.
Lower Key Stage Two We have had a busy week in LKS2. Our Christmas prep is well underway and we have enjoyed designing our own Christmas decorations which we will be making using felt. We have been learning different types of stitches and having a practice at using these. In PE, we have enjoyed exploring different ways to move in dance. We have worked hard with our partners to try and synchronise our movements and practice moving in unison. In geography, we have been busy making our own rivers and exploring how rivers change and shape the land. The children have loved using the sand and water trays to create our own rivers showing the meanders and where the different tributaries join together.
Upper Key Stage Two This week, in PSHE, the children enjoyed a calm and reflective Monday afternoon, taking time for rest and relaxation through a range of mindful activities. It was a lovely opportunity to pause, breathe, and be present. In English, we have been putting our biography learning into practice by planning and writing our own shared pieces. There has been a big focus on handwriting, presentation, and developing independent editing skills. The children are really taking on board all the advice given. In Maths, we have been exploring equivalent fractions and converting improper fractions to mixed numbers, using fraction walls to help us spot patterns and make links with confidence. Beautiful beaches: types of beaches and how they are formed allowed the Woodpeckers to be creative with their presentation as they recorded their learning. Our wonderful Little Leaders—including our JRSOs, School Council, Happy and Healthy Ambassadors, Sports Crew, Digital Leaders and more—are settling brilliantly into their roles. We are incredibly grateful for the time they volunteer, as these responsibilities help them grow in confidence, develop their oracy skills, gather pupil voice and share fantastic ideas across the school. With just four weeks to go until the 'Big Ho Ho Ho', the countdown to Christmas is officially on!

If you would like to gift a book to school for a special occasion or 'just because', please see our Amazon Wishlist for some ideas. All books donated are marked with a special 'gifted by...' message and added to our library.
Your child has come home with a raffle ticket book. Please sell as many tickets as you can and return the stubs and cash to school for a chance to win a prize.
All tickets should be sold for £1 per ticket or £5 per booklet.
If you are unable to sell tickets, please send the empty books back to school. Thank you
Mrs Duggin is looking for pupils who have a passion to make our school greener. Ask your teacher for an application form if you would like to help with one of the following missions by being part of our Eco-Committee.

If you would like to send a Christmas card to your friends, our Christmas postbox will arrive in school on 1st December. Please ensure first names and class names are clear to read. Our elves will be delivering them to classes as the postbox fills up.
Preparations are in full swing for the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas! Our youngest pupils have started their nativity practice and have 4 performances next week. The staff, FOMS and pupils are busy organising crafts, games, songs and much more for our annual Christmas Fayre.
FOMS are asking parents to sell raffle tickets to raise funds for school. Please help if you can and you will be in with a chance of wining one of our raffle prizes.

Thank you to everyone who supported the FOMS Winter Disco. The children and adults had a brilliant time and made lots of memories. A secure link has been shared on Seesaw to some moments captured at the event.
FOMS raised £418 through ticket sales. Thank you FOMS! You are really making a huge difference for our children.
Our advent reading challenge is back by popular demand
A reading challenge has popped up outside our library. Read your home reading book 5 times a week, at home, and you will receive a raffle ticket. Pop your raffle ticket in the box by our advent tree and be in with a chance to be picked to take home and keep a festive story.
One person will be picked each day in December. Let the challenge and countdown commence!
