Foundation Stage Children in Foundation Stage have been learning about the Islam religion. They enjoyed exploring the artefacts and creating their own mosques using 3D shapes.
Key Stage One There has been lots of energy and excitement in Key stage 1 this week. The children have been busy observing the eggs and keeping observations. They have loved planting beans and hanging them on the window ready to watch the roots sprout as well as making predictions about what they think will happen. The children in Year 2 have been busy measuring their heights as well as the length of objects around the school. Well done everyone.
Lower Key Stage Two This week in LKS2, we’ve been busy putting the final touches on our play in preparation for next week’s performance! The excitement is building as we get ready to showcase all the hard work and creativity we've put into the production. In Science, we’ve been diving into the topic of rewilding and working collaboratively in teams to create fact-files about the importance of reintroducing species to their natural habitats. It’s been a fascinating project, and everyone has enjoyed contributing to our collective knowledge! In English, we’ve been focusing on punctuation, especially speech marks, and how to use short sentences and rhetorical questions to add suspense to our writing. It’s been an engaging way to enhance our storytelling skills. This week in PSHE, we’ve been exploring human rights and discussing our responsibilities in protecting and upholding them. These conversations have been thought-provoking and have encouraged us to reflect on the importance of fairness and equality in our world.
Upper Key Stage Two This week, the UKS2 pupils have been making great strides in their learning! In Maths, they have been mastering the addition and subtraction of decimals across one, using efficient strategies to solve problems with accuracy and confidence. In English, they have been developing their journalistic skills, working through the innovation and application stages of newspaper writing. They have focused on incorporating quotes and reported speech to enhance the credibility and engagement of their independent news articles. Meanwhile, in Geography, the children have continued their exciting South America project, exploring both the human and physical features of the continent. With assessment week coming up in Week 5, the children are eager to reflect on their progress and showcase all they have learned so far!

Great spelling everyone!
If you would like to gift a book to school for a special occasion or 'just because', please see our Amazon Wishlist for some ideas. All books donated are marked with a special 'gifted by...' message and added to our library.

Our Eco-Committee have a new challenge! They would like your help to start collecting as many milk bottle tops as possible!
They hope to raise money for the Lincs & Notts air ambulance by sending the milk bottle tops off to be recycled into plastic garden pellets, which then are turned into garden furniture and sold. This will help Lincs & Notts air ambulance to keep it saving lives.
Please send clean milk bottle tops into school in a bag for the attention of The Eco-Committee.
Thank you!
