Learning updates

Foundation Stage Children in Foundation Stage have been learning to add groups using pictures. They have been using their prior learning to understand that groups when added together can make a total.

Key Stage One Key Stage One have been doing some wonderful singing in their assemblies. We have all really enjoyed the lovely, calming song of 'Snowdrop'. How many of you have spotted snowdrops in your local environment? We have enjoyed learning about life cycles in science and have loved looking at Google Earth, maps and photographs in our geography learning.

Lower Key Stage Two LKS2 have written some brilliant non-chronological reports about a mythical creature. There was a brilliant variety of familiar, weird and wonderful creations. In science, we have continued our learning about sound particularly exploring pitch, length, thickness and the impact on high and low sounds.

Upper Key Stage Two Week 4 already!! This week for Upper Key Stage 2 has been all about editing and improving the narrative linked to 'The Piano.'  Our talented writers have created a lonely atmosphere, used emotive language and pulled at our heartstrings as they have developed their amazing flashback narratives.  The Woodpeckers have smashed  multiplying unit and non unit fractions and mixed numbers by whole numbers.  In PSHE, we had great fun with our first Quizizz end of unit quiz for our Health and Wellbeing unit.

Well done to your youngest pupils.....100%!!! An extra playtime is awarded to you for your super attendance. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

Lateness

During the last school week, we had  27_incidences of lateness.

Please be reminded that doors open at 8:45 and registration is at 9:00. This gives you 15 minutes to be early and have a calm start to the day.

These latenesses range from 4 minutes late to 155 minutes late. This has a huge impact on classroom teachers, office staff, pupils in class and the child that is late. Please help us to reduce lateness.

TTRockstars

Every child from Year 3 upwards has a TTRockstars account which can be accessed in school or at home via the website TTRockstars

Each issue we will list the latest leader board for Times Tables Rockstars. To get on the leader board, you need to play 'studio' on TTRockstars and you need to play at least ten times.

Please find the current leader board and the class 'top rockers'.
