We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful May half-term break and enjoyed some time with family and friends.
As we begin the final part of the school year, we have an exciting and busy term ahead. The children will be continuing their learning across the curriculum, taking part in a range of educational trips and experiences, mastering their swimming skills and preparing for the next stage of their school journey through planned transition activities.
We are looking forward to a fantastic few weeks filled with learning, achievement and memorable experiences.
We can't wait to see all that the children accomplish this term.
A letter has been shared via email to update parents on staffing and our class structure for 2026-2027.
Foundation Stage
Children in Foundation Stage have been learning to share amounts in Maths. They used some wonderful stem sentences when describing what they could see and linked their learning to odds and evens.
Key Stage One
We are so happy to be back for the final term of this academic year! Year 1 have kicked things off with an exciting trip to Wild in the Woods, where they showed great courage and curiosity while exploring the outdoors. The children enjoyed a range of activities including pond dipping, fire lighting, den building and nature play. Year 2 are looking forward to their visit to Rand Farm next week, and we can't wait to hear all about their adventures!
Lower Key Stage Two
LKS2 have had a wonderful start to the term. Our wellbeing focus for the next half term is 'Discover' where we will be learning about how positive it is to learn a new skill, the importance of perseverance and learning that 'practise makes progress.' We had great fun doing the 'beanbag dance' where we discovered how it feels to persevere and succeed. Our Year 4 pupils have been working very hard to learn all of the multiplication facts by heart. This week, they have made quick games to support learning the facts which have been trickier to remember. In English, we have loved listening to some funny poems, there have been smiles and laughter all round. We have been reading with fluency and expression to learn and perform a range of poems. A fun filled week to start the term!
Upper Key Stage Two
It has been a wonderful start to the term! In Year 6, we have launched our ever-popular Theme Park Project in maths, where pupils are developing their budgeting, costing and financial planning skills as they design their own exciting attractions.
We have also been incredibly lucky to enjoy a fantastic planetarium visit to round off our Science topic on Space in true style. The experience was truly out of this world! The children were star-struck by the immersive displays and learned so much about our solar system. Thankfully, nobody got too spaced out!
In Art, we have been exploring perspective drawing, developing our ability to create depth and dimension within our artwork. Meanwhile, preparations for our UKS2 production of Wonderland: The Musical are in full swing. The singing, acting and enthusiasm on display has been fantastic, and we cannot wait to share the performance with you later in the term. How exciting!
41 pupils have maintained 100% attendance so far this academic year.

Our attendance figures for week 1 of Term 6 are:
On Monday, we had a large number of families who had not reported their child's absence. We have a legal responsibility to know where all of our children are each day and we must ensure everyone is safe. It takes a huge amount of time to make phonecalls and complete safe and well checks. This has to take priority each day for safeguarding reasons. Please could we ask that all absences are reported before 9am on each day of a child's absence.

Please find a reminder of our uniform expectations. Please note that black sports shorts (Nike Pro or other) are not permitted as school uniform on non-PE days. Tight and very short, shorts are not suitable for PE.
Children are expected to wear school uniform Monday to Friday. Class teachers will provide parents with PE days for each term, and it is expected that PE kit is worn on those days of the week.
If your child is attending a sports club after school on a non-PE day, they should bring their PE kit in a bag and change at the end of the school day.
Our school uniform consists of the following:
White shirt or polo shirt (with or without school logo)
Emerald green sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without school logo)
Black trousers, skirt or pinafore dress
Black cotton shorts or green gingham dress for the summer months
Black socks or tights
Black (or mostly black) flat-soled shoes/trainers are encouraged so pupils can be as active as possible at breaktimes. Shoe laces must be black.
Book bag with logo in KS1, optional in KS2
PE Kit
Green T-shirt (with or without logo)
Black shorts (of a reasonable length)
Black (or mostly black) trainers. Laces must be black.
Black or mostly black tracksuit for use during winter months (no hoodies)

Swimming information for term 6 has been emailed to all families. Please check your email for more information on year group swimming days.
Please note that there has been a delay and swimming will now commence from Tuesday 16th June as per the original timetable.
We are delighted to share that one of our pupils was selected as the KS1 winner of Happy Shoes Day by Lincolnshire Active Travel.
This happy shoes owner will receive a £40 Sports Direct voucher.
Thank you to everyone who entered and helped us create a very happy day.
Our wonderful FOMS team rasied over £130 profit from their end of term ice cream pop up event. Thank you to everyone who supported them by volunteering or making a purchase. They are currently exploring options for purchasing playground equipment for both key stages.
FOMS have organised a non-uniform day in order to gain as many sweetie donations as possible for their sweet tombola at the Garden Party.
Help to make our garden party a SWEET success by wearing non-uniform and donating some sweets on Friday 12th June.

This is a polite reminder to all families. Please ensure your child has their lunch, snack and water bottle each day. There has been a significant increase in children without lunchboxes, an ordered hot meal, snacks or water from home.
Due to allergy control, we are unable to provide spare meals or snacks.
We kindly ask that you check your child has the above items ready for next week.
