Foundation Stage Children in Foundation Stage have enjoyed Science Week. They made wonderful aeroplanes after being inspired by Stem engineers… the best part was testing them out. ✈️✈️✈️
Key Stage One In KS1 this week we have been busy continuing our stories, turning Billy's Beetle into Lucy's Ladybird or Sally's Spider! The children have shown us their fantastic writing and we are so proud of how far they have come since September! We have learnt about hot and cold climates in geography, and the importance of foodbanks in RE. We are looking forward to another fun-filled week next week, with library visits, Roots to Food and watching our runner beans begin to grow!
Key Stage Two This week in LKS2, the children have been busy exploring fractions and discovering equivalent fractions. They have also been working hard in their play rehearsals. Next week, it’s time to try on costumes and complete the final run-throughs in preparation for the big performance!
Across Key Stage Two, the children were inspired by guest STEM speakers, gaining insights into careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It's been a week full of learning, creativity, and inspiration!
47 pupils have maintained 100% attendance so far this academic year.
Last years whole school attendance figure was 95.3%
Current whole school attendance is 96.7%
Our attendance figures for this week are as follows:

Here are the latest scores on the whole-school leader board (these scores are based on their total score from the last 7 days):
Great spelling everyone!
If you would like to gift a book to school for a special occasion or 'just because', please see our Amazon Wishlist for some ideas. All books donated are marked with a special 'gifted by...' message and added to our library.
Our Eco-Committee have a new challenge! They would like your help to start collecting as many milk bottle tops as possible!
They hope to raise money for the Lincs & Notts air ambulance by sending the milk bottle tops off to be recycled into plastic garden pellets, which then are turned into garden furniture and sold. This will help Lincs & Notts air ambulance to keep it saving lives.
Please send clean milk bottle tops into school in a bag for the attention of The Eco-Committee.
Thank you!
Comic Relief information has been communicated via email.
Children are welcome to come to school dressed in non-uniform...the redder the better. Donations to Comic Relief are welcome via Parent Pay.
This week we have celebrated all things STEM as part of British Science Week. We have looked at the ways in which things change and adapt, with a focus on farming for our Lincolnshire Show Schools Challenge. KS1 have enjoyed planting their runner beans, which we will be turning into a vertical farm once they germinate! LKS2 have focused on rewilding in preparation for their Lincolnshire Legacies challenge, and UKS2 have dived further into sustainability through farming, meeting a real farmer and asking lots of questions about the process of sustainable farming in Lincolnshire. We have also enjoyed assemblies from guest speakers, expanding the children's knowledge about different STEM careers that they could pursue in the future. What a busy week!
A letter regarding Easter arrangements has been sent home to all families via email. We are asking for children to join in some Easter fun by:
EYFS/KS1: Decorate an Easter bonnet or cap
KS2: Decorate a hard boiled egg
All entries should be brought into school on the last day of term for judging. Prizes will be awarded for the best in show! Hint: Our judges like to see as much pupil independence and involvement in their creation as possible.
Parents are invited the Easter assemblies on the last day of term. Please see your email for more deatils.
FOMS are kindly asking for donations of Easter eggs or chocolate for their Easter raffle. Please send any donations into school with your child as soon as possible. Thank you!
Tickets for the FOMS Disco and raffle tickets will be on sale via Parent Pay from Monday 17th March.
We are pleased to share that after positive feedback and engagement with Premier Education's Holiday Camp in February Half Term, they will be hosting another Holiday Camp during the Easter holidays. Please see their website for more information and booking. Click Here
