The Creative Curriculum for Preschool
Overview:
The Creative Curriculum is a child-centered research-based curriculum where students are active participants in their learning. The curriculum supports each child's development through exploration with a well-organized and engaging learning environment. Teachers and support staff extend and scaffold each child's individual development by providing guidance, intentional learning experiences, and positive social interactions.
Learning Environments- Students are engaged in many different learning centers throughout their school day including blocks, dramatic play, library, sand and water, art, toys and games, music and movement, and discovery. Time is also provided throughout the day for small and whole group instruction and gross motor play. Local experiences are also provided to our preschool students offering them opportunities to engage with their community in a variety of ways.
