Below are some helpful resources for helping children in their social and emotional well being. Social Emotional Learning is very important to a child's academic success, ability to get along with others and make friends, identify and manage big emotions, solve problems, and be successful later in life. Mrs Leso is available for phone conferencing or Zoom calls.
Some additional ideas include:
Talk or write about how you feel about being at home, missing your friends or school, or lots of changes.
Create a graph of how you feel each day of the week.
Write a letter to someone!
Call or video chat with someone!
Practice Kelso's choices at home!
Do something kind for someone else!
Role play tricky situations with someone at home and practice the wrong and right way to react.
Practice calming strategies (stop & name your feeling, belly breathing, counting, or self-talk)
