Silent Auction (All High School Choirs)
Dessert Concert (Blendz and Mountaineer Choirs)
Silent Auction Information Things to donate? Email or call Mrs. Moore
At the Mount Baker High School Choirs’ upcoming concert on October 10th, there will be a silent auction held to raise money for the trip to Washington, DC. The choir students in every high school choir will be asked to provide the items for the auction.
Item Ideas
Items can be sold singularly, or in sets. For example, a necklace could be auctioned off as a single item, while a basket with several things inside could also be auctioned off as one unit. A student can team up with someone to provide a basket, or bring an individual item. Here’s a list of possible ideas.
Baskets
• Pampering (bath, nail, or spa products)
• Barbeque (tongs, spatulas, sauces and rubs, etc.)
• Tool (a small set of tools)
• Child (games, toys, blankets)
• Seahawks/Mariners (T-shirts, caps, noise makers, etc.)
• Baker Pride (red and black)
• Gardening (small plants, hand tools, gloves, seeds)
Single Items
• Jewelry (necklace, earrings, etc.)
• Tool (such as a drill)
• Handmade items (such as a knit scarf, or a quilt)
• A service (if a business or individual donates a service, such as a free car wash)
• Larger toys (a full set of blocks, a small tricycle, etc.)
• Video game or movie
• Art supplies (sketch book and pencils, etc.)
Of course, these are only a few ideas, and none of them have to be done.
At the auction, each item will have its approximate value on the bidding sheet, and so the students are asked to keep track of their donation’s value. If an item is not sold, it will be returned back to the person who donated it. Donations can be brought in starting Monday the 7th of October. All donations should be in by the October 9th . If there are any questions, please contact Mrs. Moore, choir director, or any member of the choir council.
