Tuition, fees, room, and board are billed one semester at a time and invoices are available at least one month prior to the start of each new semester. Students should review the invoice to make sure they are billed for the correct major, housing, meal plan, and full-time vs. part-time status. If at any point you are not sure, please contact the Business Office.
Undergraduate students have the ability to place themselves on a waitlist for a class if there are no seats available when the student initially registers for classes. Because the student is not yet officially enrolled in a waitlisted class, it is not included when the student’s tuition and fee rates are computed.
This may result in students being initially charged part-time tuition and fee rates, with additional tuition and fee charges added to the student account if the student is admitted to one or more waitlisted classes. If you are waitlisted for classes that are needed to reach full time enrollment, please contact the Business Office for an estimated amount owed.
If you have questions regarding registration, please contact the Registrar's Office at (814) 886-6400 or email Registrar@mtaloy.edu.
Students must be considered "financially cleared" by the Business Office each semester by the due date for admittance to classes and residence halls. Financial clearance means financial arrangements are complete and the balance of a student's tuition invoice is paid in full, covered with financial aid, a certified education loan, or enrollment in a payment plan with the first payment completed. Students that are not financially cleared by the semester due date will have a hold placed on their account.
The late payment fee can be avoided by making the required payment or completing financial arrangements by the semester due date. Previously incurred financial obligations must be paid in full before a student may register for another semester. Additional costs which a student incurs after the beginning of the semester are due and payable within thirty (30) days of posting to the student’s account. Students have 24/7 access to their online tuition Invoice. Students with outstanding financial obligations will not be permitted to register for additional classes or receive grades, complete transcripts, or diplomas.
