I am Syed Amuth U Rasool Qadri. I have completed my B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Srinagar. Presently I am pursuing Ph.D at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.I was selected as a Prime Minister research fellow in july 2018.

Research Project
In this project, gaseous nitriding of High and medium Entropy alloys is employed.The resulting microstructures are characterized by employing light microscopy, Scanning Electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, hardness measurements,EBSD, TEM and APT measurements.

Research work done
Gaseous nitriding of equiatomic FeNiCo medium entropy alloy carried.The alloy showed isothermal phase separation triggered by inwardly diffusing nitrogen into Fe/N enriched and Fe/N depleted FCC solid solutions.
Low temperature nitriding of 316 L Stainless steel powders followed by subsquent Spark plasma sintering.These powders after nitriding were charcterized used light microscopy, Scanning Electron microscopy and microhardness measurements.
