I have a passion for teaching middle schoolers how to be curious scientists! I work for Michigan Virtual Charter Academy teaching 7th grade science. I have been teaching for 5 years, the last three at MVCA.
When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend my time with my family and serving in my church. As a family we spend our time going on walks, watching the Detroit Lions, and tending to our garden.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Middle Childhood Education from Cedarville University. From there, I received my Michigan teaching certification in 5-9 Math & Science. Currently I am completing my Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Math and Science from Michigan State University.
A little bit more about me!
Our family recently grew! We love getting to experience new things together. This is a picture from my brothers wedding out in Tennessee. Our first family road trip!
We are big Detroit Lions fans! We love to sit down each week and watch the game. This past year I was a part of 3 fantasy leagues, though I will spare the painful statue of those leagues. This picture was taken before the first game of the season!
I love spending time at coffee shops! Whether I am chatting with friends, studying scripture, or grading assignments, a coffee shop is the place to be. My go to drink is a white chocolate mocha. This picture is from our babymoon in Florida.
