Media Team Member
Photographer
We are looking for individuals with previous experience photographing events to help us capture The Gathering. Please sign up to cover a specific event or to volunteer your time when your schedule allows.
Ideally you have your own equipment and will be available and able to edit photos after The Gathering concludes
Communications & Press
We are looking for individuals to work with the Press and the Public before, during, and after The Gathering. This will include:
Working with the organizing team to draft and distribute press advisories and releases
Coordinate with photographers to ensure needed images are captured
Serve as a support person for folks that are planning on talking to members of the press

Each shift is a 3.5 hour commitment at either the Graduate Hotel [address] or the MSU International Center.

Listening Ears
In response to feedback from previous programing as well as requests in preparation for this Gathering, we would like to have folks attend sessions (listening ears) and hold "office hours" to provide space and support to participants.
As a Listening Ear you will be at The Gathering to hold "Listening Works" style space. You are not expected to be a counselor or handle a crisis.
Training: We ask that these folks provide examples of relevant experience (professional or personal). As a team we will be here to support you! Team meetings, guides, and during shift support will all be provided

Nature Walk Guide
A group will meet at the MSU Tower to begin their walk along the Red Cedar River. We are looking for an individual to lead the group which entails ensuring the group stays together and safe!

Lansing State Capitol Tour
A group will meet at The Graduate Hotel and take a University bus to the Lansing Capitol for a guided tour. We are looking for two people to go with the group and make sure that they stay together and safe.

Logistics Team Member
We are looking for a team of folks that can be available for a window of time to help wherever may be needed. This may look like:
Supplies runs
Local transportation of a delegate
Filling in for absent volunteers
Setting up spaces (moving chairs, checking tech is working, etc.)
Provided Training & Requirements: The ideal person is flexible, resourceful and a team- player with access to their own vehicle.

Drivers
We are looking for individuals to drive University Vehicles to and from various events throughout the week.
Provided Training & Requirements: You must be licensed to drive in the United States. Please note, you will be required to register with MSU Transportation. We will be happy to assist you in doing so.

On Call
Volunteer for any time slot throughout the week to be on call to pick up and drop off delegates. Driving will be limited to the East Lansing/Lansing area.
