The next thing that I indulge my life into is that of being an art teacher! Being an art teacher has brought many opportunities to me. Helping students to find their identity through self expression. There are many different ways in which I do this. Through creating works of art, collaboration with other artists and collaboration with other teachers. These are only some of the ways, there truly are many more!!

Part of helping students to understand mediums in my classroom, I introduce them to working artist. This helps students to make connections beyond the classroom.

English meets art! Matching content across classes helps students to see the bigger picture of why classes matter. English meets art connects poetry with works of art.

Being a mother and a teacher are not everything that defines me. I am also a soccer coach, yearbook advisor, class advisor, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, secretary of Artworks, a member of The Heritage Association, a member of the PTO at Gier Elementary and a part-time waitress.
