John Zubek holds a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Dayton, an MS in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, and a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Central Michigan University. He is a licensed Physical Therapist in Michigan and in addition to teaching PSL 311L full time, he still works as a PT on a per diem basis for McLaren Greater Lansing. His focus is to bring the most clinically relevant concepts of Physiology that professionals often use into the classroom.
He is a native of Cleveland, OH, but has lived in Michigan for the past 21 years. He is married to Darcie Zubek who also is employed with MSU and the Beacon Center for the Study of Evolution in Action.
