Logistics

Workshop hotel: The official workshop hotel will be at the Wingate by Wyndham Los Alamos (address: 2455 Trinity Dr, Los Alamos, NM 87544). There will be a hotel room block and a group rate, which will be significantly cheaper than the standard rate. Information on this will be announced shortly via this web page and to registered participants.

Travel to Los Alamos:  The two closest airports are the Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) and the Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ).  Santa Fe is closer to Los Alamos than Albuquerque, but has fewer flight options - it is advisable to investigate both.

Santa Fe Airport information:

• American Airlines offers flights into Santa Fe from Dallas/Ft. Worth and Phoenix.  United Airlines offers flights from Denver.

• Rental Cars are available at the Santa Fe airport through Avis and Hertz.  See their transportation page for details.

• Shuttle service to Los Alamos is available through New Mexico Black Car (reservation recommended), the RoadRunneR Shuttle & Charter (reservation required), and Los Alamos Taxi Service (reservation required).  There are also additional options available at the Santa Fe Airport's transportation page.

• The workshop organizers will coordinate ground transportation for participants to and from the Santa Fe airport, which will be done following the close of registration.

Albuquerque Sunport information: 

• Many airlines fly into Albuquerque: Alaska Air, Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, and United.

• There are many options for rental cars out of the Albuquerque Sunport - see their rental car information page for details.

• There are few shuttle options directly from the Albuquerque Airport to Los Alamos.  The workshop organizers will coordinate ground transportation for participants to and from the Albuquerque airport, which will be done following the close of registration.

Social events: There will be evening social events scheduled for this workshop during each week. We anticipate that many participants will participate in both weeks of the workshop, and will also schedule excursions and social events based on their interests.
