Commitment to Teaching

Michigan State University supports the Certification in College Teaching (CCT) program. The CCT consists of workshops, professional development opportunities, and teaching experiences designed to prepare graduates to become effective instructors---culminating in an electronic portfolio documenting their teaching experiences. Below documents five core teaching competencies, with which Michael has actively engaged, in preparation for becoming future faculty: Developing Discipline-Related Teaching Strategies, Creating Effective Learning Environments, Incorporating Technology in your Teaching, Understanding the University Context, and Assessing Student Learning.
