Capstone project for the Master of Arts degree | Explore other MAFLT Experiential Modules
[Depending on what you did for your EM, you will structure the EM section of your portfolio site differently. One good approach would be to make one of the sub-pages more theoretical (the design of the project, the overview, more of a sense of the why and how of it) and the other sub-page more practical (giving teachers materials that you want them to use with their learners or use as models). You may want to embed documents, include links, or create more sub-pages below this page.
Guide people through your EM section. Link from here to the other sub-pages, and on those sub-pages, consider linking back here and to the other sub-page(s).
Remember that you are marketing yourself and what you did, so you want your visitors to be able to appreciate your hard work!]
[Rename or reorganize sub-pages as needed - in general everyone should have an EM Overview page, a page directed at MAFLT faculty and peers (called EM Rationale or EM Report), and a page directed at broader audiences, primarily language teachers (called EM Materials or some such)]
[Include a page directed at language teachers who visit your site, explaining what they can use and how to access those materials and recommended resources]
[Include a page directed at faculty, scholars, MAFLT classmates, and others that presents the scholarly support for your EM, including embedding your substantial paper (research report or rationale) and summarizing that content on the web page]
[Brief Description of Your Experiential Module: Provide a one-paragraph summary of what you did, why, what content is included (website, curriculum guide, activity designs, videos, etc.), and what contribution your EM makes to the field, including any materials or resources that fellow teachers can use. This is like the program description for a conference proposal or the abstract for a published article, and it will also appear on your page on the EM Showcase website.
Use this space as an introduction to your EM. Briefly summarize what you did and list what you are providing to your site visitors. This is your opportunity to "sell" your project to some extent. Think about the audiences who would benefit from seeing what you did. Basically, you can include the same content that is on your EM flyer. Keep in mind that for accessibility and practical reasons, you should not assume that your visitor can read everything that is shown on the embedded file.]

[If you created a separate website for your EM, you can point to it from here and/or from the EM Materials page or its own separate sub-page. I recommend inserting a screenshot of that site's home page, providing the URL as text on the page, and making both of those link to the site. This site (Amanda Lanier, 2019) is provided as an example.]
[Embed your reflective essay on the Experiential Module (not your Portfolio reflective essay) here. You can remove it, shorten it, etc. after your portfolio goes public.]
