We have a lot of information for you about Lyman Briggs and Michigan State University, and we hope you find it helpful!
Lyman Briggs is one of three degree granting residential colleges at Michigan State University. Over 600 new members get accepted each school year. The focus of Lyman Briggs is science, so all members must be majoring in it. It is located in Holmes Hall in East Neighborhood and all the Briggs classes are within the building, making it convenient.
No, they are different. You can be a member of Briggs without being in the honors college. Many of our students are in both, but it is not required.
No, you are required to start at MSU in Lyman Briggs. You can drop Briggs, but you cannot join later if you start in the College of Natural Science (NatSci).

Holmes Hall is a Grab and Go Sparty's location so it uses combos. You can mobile order ahead and pick up your food. The closest all you care to eat dining hall is across the street in Akers Hall. For students with allergies, Thrive at Owen Hall is free of many top allergens and is also close by.
You get 12 combos each week for all of the dining plan levels (silver, gold, and platinum). You have to wait about 15 minutes to use another combo after using one.
The combos work for Sparty's Markets like the one in Holmes and partner locations including Panera, Panda Express, Subway, and Starbucks. You do not need to use a combo to eat in the all you care to eat dining halls because you get unlimited access to them.
They reset every Saturday at 11:59pm. They do not roll over into the following week. If you don't use them, you lose them.
