Sue Lim
Sue is a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Communication at MSU. Sue received her master's degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Her primary research interest concerns artificial intelligence in communicating credible health information and deliver mental health services.
Jiaqi Qin
Jiaqi is a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Communication at MSU. Her research interest concerns online health social networks, social support, and well-being. She is also interested in learning computational research methods.
Yue Zhang
Yue is a second-year master student in the Department of Communication at MSU. Yue is working to publish her fantastic thesis on social networks and communal coping. Her thesis examined multilayer networks as antecedents of people's perceptions of communal coping when facing stress during the COVID pandemic, and how social networks and communal coping were associated with resilience and thriving.
Alums
Reed Reynolds
Reed is currently a postdoc fellow at the University of Georgia after receiving his doctoral degree from the communication department at MSU in 2020. Reed studies how information processing influences socially relevant beliefs, motivations, and behaviors. Reed has worked with Dr. Meng about how multi-layer social networks and interpersonal communication behavior influence mental health outcomes (e.g., depression) among older adults.
