Join the Teaching 2030 Revolution!

Recently, faculty and staff from the Departments of Physiology, Media and Information, Nursing and the MSU Libraries conducted a workshop on Exploring Extended Reality in Higher Education. This event was attended by over 30 registrants from around the university, including multiple graduate students from the Ratan Lab. Topics of discussion focused on virtual reality technology resources available at the MSU Library, exploring the Metaverse in education, utilizing online platforms such as Matterport™ and Engage© to immerse students in a virtual learning environment, followed by play time for each participant to don a virtual reality headset and explore! This sparked a broader discussion among participants about the future of these types of technologies in education and how it might impact student learning and research opportunities.
