Awards

CNRDA offers three award opportunities to members on an annual basis. These awards are an opportunity to formally recognize the great work and accomplishments of our members. Award applications will be submitted and reviewed by an awards committee made up of board members. Members are only eligible to submit a project or program for one award each year. Raymond D. Vlasin Award for Program Excellence 

This award recognizes outstanding contributions by a Community and Natural Resource Development Association (CNRDA) member to community economic development and natural resources, dedication to the growth of his or her community of responsibility, and has shown a record of achievement for an extended period of time.  It is designed to pay the highest tribute to Extension professionals who have consistently exhibited continuing leadership and excellence in Extension program planning, delivery and evaluation.

This award is a framed certificate presented at the annual CNRDA meeting with accompanying three-year CNRDA membership and a $100 cash prize for the individual.

Innovative Program Award 

This award is presented for an outstanding community economic development and natural resources program conducted by one or more Community and Natural Resources Development Association (CNRDA) members who have been alert in recognizing new concerns and interests of communities and have involved others in planning and implementing programs that address those new issues. This program award recognizes superior evidence of innovative outreach methods to design, implement, deliver and evaluate exemplary Extension programs. This award is a framed certificate with accompanying CNRDA annual membership for the individual or team.

Community Partnership Award 

The Community Partnership Award recognizes a Community and Natural Resources Development Association (CNRDA) member or team of members for their outstanding efforts in building community partnerships through collaboration with local groups, agencies, and organizations to meet the educational needs and/or concerns of their community. One award will be presented annually to a CNRDA member or team of members who have successfully developed and practiced skills that emphasize collaboration and encourage the value of citizen participation as essential to effective community development. This award is a framed certificate accompanied by a complimentary annual membership to CNRDA for the individual or team.
