The Madras School of Social Work was founded by Mary Clubwala Jadhav, under the auspices of the Madras State Branch of the Indian Conference of Social Work (now the Indian Council of Social Welfare) and the Guild of Service (central). It is run under the aegis of the Society for Social Education and Research (SSER). As a member of the Association of Schools of Social Work in India and the Asia-Pacific Association of Social Work Education, we are also affiliated with the International Association of Schools of Social Work. Our school is proudly rated the 3rd Best Social Work College in India and the best in South India. Our school, established in 1952 and located in Chennai, South India, is an Autonomous Institution, NAAC accredited, and affiliated with the University of Madras.
We are a passionate student club of The Madras School of Social Work, dedicated to building a society free from human trafficking and fostering social development.
Our mission is straightforward yet profound: to identify, prevent, intervene, and stop any activities related to human trafficking, including begging, unsafe situations, and exploitation. We aim to protect individuals, groups, and communities while promoting safe human development. Together, we strive to create a safer, more just society where everyone can thrive.
Sensitization of students on their role in combating human trafficking.
Focus on research activities that provide data through compilation and collaboration on contemporary Human Trafficking issues.
Provide general awareness programs to prevent relapse among rescued victims
