The Moustakas Johnson Library provides you with access to a highly specialized collection of books, audiovisual materials, psychological testing kits, and electronic resources in psychology and related disciplines.
Resources support MSP coursework and include many foundational works related to the school’s humanistic tradition. In addition, you have access to a carefully curated array of online psychology databases and electronic books targeting your academic and clinical needs.
We believe the library collection should be available to and be shared among the greatest number of MSP community members! In that spirit, we ask that you return items by the due date and in the condition in which you received them. Our policies and practices for borrowing materials are outlined below.
We highly recommend creating a login for your library account to make it easier to check item availability, keep track of due dates, and request renewals. We will remind you by email of approaching due dates.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a great way to access items we do not have in our own library collection! Requests can be placed directly as you search our databases or by contacting us. Orders for electronic items can often be filled within a couple of days, while physical items such as books or DVDs will take longer. Please be aware that we cannot order tests via ILL due to licensing restrictions.
We have an extensive collection of psychological testing materials to support the assessment courses taught at MSP. Ethical and legal considerations, eligibility, conditions for borrowing, and overdue policies for test materials are further explained on the Testing & Assessment Materials page.
