Our topic this term is WW2, which we will explore through our English writing, guided reading text and DT unit. We will commence our topic with a trip to East Somerset Railway to experience life as a evacuee on Wednesday 10th September. Details are on parent pay - please consent and pay asap.
We will be dressing as evacuees so please use the photo opposite for some ideas.
On Tuesday, we will be swimming so no PE kit required. Lessons commence on Tuesday 9th September so please consent via parent pay.
On Thursday we will be dancing with Michelle so PE kits will be required.
Homework will be set online via Doodle and google classroom. There will be opportunities to complete home learning in school if you are struggling to access online.
Reading - this will be recorded via our class reading padlet where the children will respond to a prompt each week. They should still be reading at home regularly using both AR level and free choice books. AR quizzes should be completed in school to monitor overall comprehension.
Spelling - these are set per term and should be practiced at home to reinforce learning in class. These spellings will include spelling rules and statutory words. There will be a start of unit and end of unit test to gauge progress.
