Montessori School of Louisville is currently going through a re-accreditation process with the American Montessori Society (AMS). Accreditation from AMS signifies that our school has undergone a comprehensive evaluation of our educational practices, curriculum, facilities, and overall adherence to Montessori principles. It serves as a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality Montessori education by meeting AMS School Accreditation Standards and Criteria, a distinction held by only about 10% of AMS member schools. We proudly achieved this honor in 2017 and have maintained accreditation by submitting annual reports documenting continued compliance with AMS standards. However, AMS requires schools to undergo re-accreditation every 5 years, leading us to our current endeavor (with a COVID delay).

As we go through the re-accreditation process we are seeking the involvement of our parent community. Your input and participation are invaluable as we embark on a thorough self-study process. To facilitate this, we are forming committees for each of the AMS Standards we must meet. These committees will play a crucial role in evaluating our school's performance across various areas such as curriculum, teacher qualifications, community involvement, and more.
