The main focus animal was the red panda and the main goal was to help preserve habitats and feed the red panda. Students raised money to donate towards adopting red pandas at the Philadelphia zoo.
The Red Panda's Primary threats were habitat loss along with human interference and poaching. There are only around 10,000 red pandas left and Maple Shade helped spread awareness about them through many events and donations.
The main goal of the unless project was to save the Panamanian frog. Students were able to reach out and partnered up with Solitude Lake Management. In addition, students spread the word about saving the Panamanian frog by making shirts, creating a social media account, and creating flyers. Money was raised after creating shirts and students had a major clean-up of Steinhauer pond.

This year our focus animal was not specific to just one endangered species. The focus was several of the focus animals, such as the Golden Lion Tamarin, Panamanian Golden Frog, The Rodreguez Fruit Bat, and the Guam kingfisher. The conservation efforts were on saving electricity. Students calculated the amount of electricity is used in the school and wanted to decrease the number.

10.57 tons of compost were collected in cafeterias in the four district schools after students started to monitor the process in the lunchrooms (Calculated from the numbers that the School District provided for us for all four schools in the district
Students were able to successfully create their own billboards to promote their project and to get the community involved.
Students decided to set a goal of reducing the amount of Climate change there was in order to help and save the main animal that they focused on for the Unless project which was the Monarch butterfly.
Monarch butterflies were endangered because of increasing levels of carbon dioxide poisoning in their main food source which is milkweed.
Students helped raise money by creating hoodies and shirts to promote their project for Unless.
Students also promoted and encouraged others around the community through social media to help out a visit to butterfly gardens.

2020-2021
The focus animal was the Golden Lion Tamarin, and the focus was habitat and waste.
The students pledged to go plastic free, recycle more often, and plant a tree each year for the next ten years.
Students helped to raise money by selling shirts, hoodies, and reusable bags for the project.
Students also encouraged others to be more sustainable with their decisions, and to lessen the waste they produce.
The project was also promoted with a graphic on a billboard on various major roads in New Jersey.
The UNLESS Project placed 2nd in the contest for 2020-2021.
