The Seeger Memorial Marching Patriots have been hard at work rehearsing their show and preparing for the ISSMA competition. Their show this year is Journey Through The Stars and includes “Also Sprach Zarathustra” by Richard Strauss, “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd, “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay, and “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic. Their show also features soloists Ephraim Stoner, Ian Miller, and Adrian Stamm. This past weekend, the Marching Patriots received their first-ever gold rating at the ISSMA marching contest! The band’s director, Abby Haley, stated, “I am INCREDIBLY proud of the progress our marching band has made this year. They continue to prove their exceptional musicianship and determination!” You can find the Marching Patriots at home football games on Friday nights or, if you’re very dedicated, at McCutcheon High School on October 12 for the McCutcheon Show Band Spectacular. This is also the Marching Patriots’ debut of brand-new uniforms for the first time in almost 50 years, so make sure you catch a glimpse! The band can always use support, and you will surely enjoy the show. We hope to see you there!
