Welcome to our Poston Road Elementary Spanish Immersion digital portfolio! We hope you will find the information in this portfolio as interesting and exciting as we believe our program is for our students. Our DLI (dual language immersion) program began in 2015 and serves students in grades K-4. Our program is a 50/50 one way program. 99% of our students are native English speakers. They spend half of their academic school day learning math/science/Spanish in the Spanish language while the other half of their day is spent learning English/Language Arts/social studies in the English language. Along with the strong emphasis on teaching our students Spanish, we also pride ourselves on teaching our students about diversity and overall global competency. As a result, we diversify our lessons to include many other languages and countries as well.
