How To Get Started

There are lots of great tools that live outside of Canvas or Google Suite products that can help you reach and engage your students. As with anything, it's easiest to navigate what is available online by starting with pointed search, that focuses on specific need in your own classroom, but for the purposes of learning to embed, you can use a tool you are familiar with or get inspired by a tool highlighted on these edtech blogs.

This Spring I overhauled an economics class that was in desperate need of an aesthetic makeover and inclusion of some authentic, student-centered work. Sutori is a platform that quickly addressed the first the first concern by formatting Econ content into an attractive, timeline-style text that makes an abstract concept more "readable". This a completed Sutori timeline could be quickly and easily dropped into a Canvas wiki page or assignment.
