Our final week before Christmas so it must be time to draw Santa's Reindeer, right?? Draw your favorite reindeer or if you have time - draw ALL NINE of them!
Merry Christmas!
What face does Santa make when he's sees someone's name on the naughty list?? This week's art is Shocked Santa. All it takes is a plain piece of paper, pencil, Sharpie or black marker and something to color Santa's outfit. Have fun!
We're making our own Gingerbread House this week. Feel free to modify the draw and draw in your favorite types of candy to decorate the house! Cut it out and hang it up when you are done.
We're drawing our own Elf on the Shelf. Make sure you color his outfit and give him a name!
Email me your elves at jess.hanson@k12.sd.us
This week's thankful drawing is FOOD! How many foods can you name that you love to eat? Not just Thanksgiving foods but any food that you love whether it's birthday cake or Cookie Crisp cereal. Divide your paper into sections and draw allllll the foods that you enjoy. Use detail in color and don't forget to draw the food on a plate or in a bowl, not just floating in the air!
Show me the foods that you enjoy - I can't wait to see what you love to eat. My email is jess.hanson@k12.sd.us
This week's thankful drawing is YOUR FAMILY. And that means alllll the members of your family! How many people can you name that you are thankful for? Draw them all. Make sure you add in those special details that makes them unique and label the drawing with their names.
Send me your family pictures - I want to see all the faces that you drew! My email is jess.hanson@k12.sd.us
As we get into the month of November (the month of being thankful!) we are going to focus on drawing those things and people that we are thankful for. There will be no videos or tutorials attached but the challenge is for you to work through this on your own with as much detail as you can.
This week we are starting with - - PETS.
Draw me a picture of your pet (or pets if you have more than one) and write one sentence of why you are thankful that you have them. Don't forget to label your work with your pet's name!
Send any artwork to me by email at jess.hanson@k12.sd.us
Let's see your pets!
This one is not set up with a draw video but instead try to follow the step-by-step paper and create a Fall Fox scene. Once your fox is drawn, add in some Fall trees or perhaps create a night scene with a full moon for your fox. Give this step-by-step page a try and see how you do!
We're still in the Halloween theme - we've tackled spiders and ghosts so we're moving on to....
Witches!
This little witch is pretty cute - but you can change up the style by drawing her background a bit scarier if you'd like. Think about what scene you could create her flying over - a haunted house, in front of a full moon, or perhaps over a patch of pumpkins?
Follow the video for the draw and then color and create a witch scene of your own.
Follow the video to learn how to draw this fun ghost. Once it's drawn you can draw and color a background or cut it out and hang it up for a cute Halloween decoration!
As we move into October it's time to get ready to make some Halloween art to help decorate your space! Start with this cool spider drawing. Make it big!! Then cut it out and hang it somewhere to be seen!
We're making a talking parrot! Draw the parrot with the video and then color him in beautiful colors. What will your parrot say? Add in a speech bubble and some words your parrot might speak.
Joke Week! We are drawing a hen and making him look like he's crossing the road. Then add your favorite "Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road" joke onto the paper. Have fun!
Continuing with animals - this week it's the T-Rex. Can you draw the T-Rex, color him and add some amazing background for him?
We're moving on to animal projects - first up is the cat. This is a simple draw so work to color it in your best cat fur-look alike as possible!
Remember, you can always snap a picture of your projects and send them to Mrs. Hanson at jess.hanson@k12.sd.us
