Debbie Jackson is a proud graduate of Turrell High School class of 93'. She, attended UCA in Conway, Arkansas where she earned a B.S.E. degree in May of 1997. Debbie pursued an advanced degree at ASU in Jonesboro earning a M.S.E. degree in School Counseling. Debbie was a 5th grade classroom teacher for 4 years. For the past 20 plus years, Debbie has served as a school counselor at MJHS.
Debbie is native to Crittenden county and active in her hometown of Gilmore, AR as a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church, where she sings in the choir and occasionally teaches Sunday school. Debbie is eternally grateful for all the support of her family, friends and community members toward her education. Debbie is fortunate that the career of school counseling and Marion School District chose her!
LaTarsha Johnson is a 1994 graduate of West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois. She has a Bachelors of Science in Secondary English Education and a Masters of Science in Education in School Counseling., Pre-K- 12.
Mrs. Johnson taught English in West Memphis and Jonesboro School Districts before becoming a school counselor. Prior to joining MSD, she was the senior counselor at Academies of West Memphis High School for 15 years.
As she begins her first year at MJHS, Mrs. Johnson is excited about working with students as they navigate young adulthood and its challenges, start earning credits for graduation, and identify and work toward their long-term goals. She can't wait to collaborate with families and community members as well. Please stop by and say hello!
