Attendance

Per ISBE guidance, All K-12 students will engage in learning for 5 hours daily with at least 2.5 hours being synchronous or live face-to-face; this may be accomplished in a blended manner for some students (some may attend in-person for instruction for part of the day and complete additional lessons remotely). Lessons will be delivered online. We are still working to address Pre-K. Students needing additional supports may attend as directed by need and/or appointment as seen in the following examples:

• Students with disabilities who present the most significant needs will be offered in-person instruction for approximately 2.5 hours, 5 days per week. This shall include our Life Centered Learning classrooms at MMS & MHS; Mindfulness classrooms in our Middle and Elementary Buildings; and students with high needs based on their Individualized Education Plan in each of our Elementary Buildings. Scheduled times for students meeting these conditions for in-person attendance will be provided in the near future.

• We will provide opportunities for small group in-person support for students not making adequate progress to attend in person for up to 4 days weekly in three-week learning cycles, with Wednesday being a remote day.

• Students needing additional support may request an in-person appointment with the teacher.

Zoom Instructions for Students

During remote learning, students can use the above link to access instructions on how to participate in Zoom learning sessions. Each class will zoom for 20 minutes per day, each day unless it is a school holiday. The remaining 20 minutes will be spent on Google Classroom and enrichment activities.
