Shelly Murphy

I love spending time with my husband, Ryan, and our two wonderful daughters, Ella and Nora. I enjoy creating photo scrapbooks of our many family adventures from the mountains to the beach and everything in between! My previous classroom experience includes teaching 7th grade math, 8th grade math, and various levels of high school Algebra. I consider myself a lifelong learner and look forward to learning and growing alongside teachers and their students as we work together to improve learning for all!

Jewels Caliper

Hello! I am thrilled to be serving as our district's K-1 Instructional Coach this year. This is my 17th year in education and my 7th at MSD 19. I graduated from McKendree University in 2010 with my Bachelors in Education and from SIUE Edwardsville in 2017 with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I love researching best practices in all areas of education but my passion lies in literacy. I live in Mascoutah with my two sons, Henry (13), and Teddy (9). We love working on home projects together and spending time outside.

Brooke sEGELHORST

I am excited to serve as the K–1 Instructional Coach and partner with teachers and students across the district. Before stepping into my role as an instructional coach, I spent my career as a first-grade teacher. During my time in the classroom, I developed a passion for early literacy, building strong relationships with students, and creating supportive learning environments where all students feel valued and capable. I look forward to learning alongside teachers, building strong partnerships, and contributing to the amazing work happening in our schools. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons, reading, and exploring the outdoors.

Dana Fredwell

Hello! I am excited to introduce myself as the Instructional Technology Coach for the Mascoutah School District. I graduated in 2007 from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and have a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University. I also hold a certificate for Integrating Technology in the Classroom. I look forward to working with the school community to integrate technology in meaningful ways. I am eager to collaborate to improve student engagement and achievement.

Tara Sulcer

Hello! I am excited to introduce myself as a Secondary Instructional Coach. I graduated in 2001 from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a Bachelor's degree in History Education, and I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University. I have taught in Illinois, Florida, and Missouri. I am passionate about curriculum and instructional practices, and forming a partnership with teachers. I firmly believe that this partnership supports students in a variety of ways to help make them college and career ready. I am thrilled to be a part of the Mascoutah School District!

Libby Wetzler

Hello! I am excited to be serving Mascoutah School District as the Special Education Instructional Coach for PK-8. I have worked with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and special education K-12 in Mascoutah since 2016. I am looking forward to working with teachers, students and staff to build instructional strategies, student learning and classroom management.

Jody Schneider

Hello! I am excited to be an instructional coach at Mascoutah High School! I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Master's degree from Lindenwood University. I have been a high school math teacher at Mascoutah High School for 15 years. I'm excited for this opportunity to work with all teachers to improve student learning!

Karla Danford

Hi! I’m Karla Danford, and I’m so excited to be the 4th and 5th Grade Instructional Coach. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at SIUE and spent 10 years teaching first and third grade across Minnesota, Washington, and Virginia. I’m passionate about supporting educators, implementing best practices, and helping students grow—especially through my love of math. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and baking. I look forward to partnering with teachers, students, and the school community this year!
